ServeDeck Shares Industry Perspective at Malaysia PropTech Association Coffee Chat

ServeDeck Co-Founder Michele Tan recently joined an industry panel organised by the Malaysia PropTech Association to discuss “Malaysia’s Property Tech Adoption: Risks & Rewards.”

The Coffee Chat brought together founders, technology providers and industry operators to explore the opportunities and challenges involved in adopting property technology across Malaysia’s built environment.

During the discussion, Michele shared ServeDeck’s perspective on the role of digital transformation in property and facilities operations.

She highlighted that digital transformation should not be viewed simply as replacing manual processes with digital tools. Its greater value lies in helping organisations create better operational visibility, strengthen accountability and make more informed decisions based on reliable information.

For property owners, managers and facilities teams, technology adoption can improve the way operational information is captured, communicated and acted upon. However, successful implementation also requires clear objectives, suitable processes and support from the people who will use the technology in their daily work.

Michele was joined on the panel by:

  • Benny Wee of Vendfun Sdn Bhd
  • David Foo of JaGaSolution Berhad
  • Seng Hee Lee of BeLive Co-Living
  • Vincent Lim of Property Guys

The discussion was moderated by Lim Sook Khim of Skywave Systems (M) Sdn Bhd.

The session provided an open platform for the speakers and attendees to exchange perspectives on the current state of PropTech adoption in Malaysia, including the potential rewards, implementation risks and practical considerations faced by businesses undergoing digital transformation.

ServeDeck would like to thank the Malaysia PropTech Association for bringing founders, operators and industry builders together for an engaging and meaningful industry discussion.

Through conversations such as these, ServeDeck remains committed to supporting greater awareness and practical adoption of digital solutions across property and facilities management operations.
